Parkour Community

YMCA Taunton

YMCA Taunton is part of the largest and oldest charity working with young people in the world. It is one of 114 YMCAs across England and its aim is to actively support children, young people and families by providing community based activities and services which meet local needs enabling all to thrive and helping to transform lives for the better.
Taunton YMCA was founded in 1855 following a visit to the town by its founder, George Williams – a Somerset man. Having met in various venues over the first 120 years, the association moved to its current location in Lisieux Way in 1975.
Recently the YMCA Taunton evolved from the traditional association structure into a Charitable Incorporated Organisation; a legal structure for locally-managed social enterprises YMCA Taunton is not funded by YMCA England. We rely on the services we provide, charitable grant applications and public donations.
YMCA Taunton is currently the only main provider of youth services in the county town of Taunton. We deliver 4 coached Parkour sessions per week to young people aged 7-19

The Nantwich Freerunners

The Nantwich Freerunners are a group of local young people who practice parkour. They have joined together with the aim of improving and increasing people’s knowledge and enjoyment of the practices of Parkour and Freerunning in the Nantwich area.

Our initial mission was to build a purpose designed freerunning park in Nantwich. This was accomplished in August 2012 when phase one of the park was officially opened by Daniel Illabaca.

We regularly run training sessions for people of all ages to learn parkour and develop their skills. The sessions are run at the Guy Harvey Youth Centre and the Freeruning Park and full details are available on our website

We have a fully qualified and accredited coach and assistant coach and we are active members of Parkour UK. The club has been a constituted organisation for over 10 years and has been involved with Parkour UK since the formation of the NGB.
