In a sport that often feels underground or invisible, Storror created a stage not just for athletes, but for the public to see what parkour really is — movement, creativity, community. The Big Wall Open wasn’t just about sends. It was about showing the world the energy, joy, and culture behind them.
Another year has passed, and another competitive season has concluded. Familiar faces once again stood atop the podiums, but every season SPL continues to raise the bar for what’s possible in competitive parkour. The level gets higher year after year, and I, for one, am already stoked to see what next season brings.
This weekend wasn’t just a win — it was proof that parkour can thrive in public spaces, with the right tools and the right team.
This past weekend (12th and 13th July) Parkour UK attended Scarborough Extreme, an annual event which is part of the longer Scarborough Fair event. This was Parkour UK’s first appearance at the festival and we were excited to get stuck in.
On Saturday we had the pleasure of attending Beats, Boards & BBQs — a free community festival at Charlton Park that brought together music, skateboarding, parkour, art, and local culture in one space. This was the first time parkour had been included in the festival lineup, and we made sure it left a mark.
This wraps up the last of the prequalifiers for SPL! But if you're still keen to compete, they still have spaces for the on-site qualifiers on the day of the competition! Think breakdance battles — but for parkour... It’s a space where athletes aren’t confined by categories like skill, speed, or style. Instead, they express their movement freely, challenging each other in a format that values creativity, adaptability, and individuality above all else.
The boys from Storror took to the international film festival, South by Southwest (SXSW), to screen their new feature length film, “We Are Storror”.
