As the National Governing Body for parkour in the United Kingdom, Parkour UK is committed to supporting and developing the sport at all levels.
We aim to encourage everyone to be more active and enjoy the benefits of parkour, while also ensuring that practice spaces remain safe and accessible for everyone.
We believe in fostering a strong, inclusive community where everyone feels welcome, regardless of their experience or background. We empower parkour practitioners by offering valuable resources, guidance, and certifications for coaches.
We celebrate parkour culture and work with local and international partners to create more opportunities for people to participate and grow the sport, from beginners to some the world’s best parkour athletes and performers.
At Parkour UK, we are small with big ambitions.
Those of us who in the parkour community already know how brilliant the sport is. The sense of belonging it gives you, and they way it builds confidence in everyone who takes part is infectious.
We want to take that message to more people, to have a positive impact on more people’s lives.
Being super clear about who we are, what we are here to do, and how we are going to go about it - what you may call a strategy - is fundamental. It is the north star that will guide everything we do.
We’ve been working on this over the last few months, and feel we are close to being ready to share our plans with everyone.
Find out more below.
Whilst we have had lots of great engagement, we wish to make sure everyone has had the opportunity to contribute. It’s going to be our strategy for the next 10 years, which is the north star guiding everything we do, so we want to get it right!
This is an opportunity for those who have not contributed yet to do so. If you have done already and have some further thoughts, we’d love to hear those too.
We can't promise that we can do everything, but we can promise we will listen to and consider all feedback, and explain why we have made the decisions we have.
If you would like to hear more and give us some feedback, please watch the presentation below and follow the link via the button to a form where you can share your comments.
I really look forward to hearing your views and working with you all on the next chapter of Parkour’s exciting journey in the UK.
