Strength & Conditioning for Parkour

There will be an initial half days workshop online to refine the project brief. Dependent on the outcome of this workshop there may be opportunities to work on the development of the qualification.

Person Specs:

  • A UKSCA qualified strength and conditioning coach (does not need to have prior knowledge of parkour).
  • A qualified parkour coach with an interest and experience of strength and conditioning.

Renumeration

Attending the initial online workshop and any subsequent project work will be on an individually agreed day rate on application.

Gymnastic Skills in Parkour

As we know parkour is a fast growing and ever evolving sport, which increasingly incorporates movements and philosophies inspired by other disciplines. One of these is incorporating movements which have traditionally existed in high level gymnastics.

As part of our work to develop a holistic framework for parkour, it has been identified that these movements sit outside of the scope of core parkour delivery.

To bridge this gap, we intend to develop a gymnastics technique for parkour qualification(s) equipping those who wish to coach this within their parkour coaching practice.

To develop this qualification, we are looking for suitably qualified and interested individuals to contribute to an initial online workshop, with the potential to be part of the group who subsequently develop the qualification.

Person Specs:

  • Qualified gymnastics coaches, artistic gymnastics level 4 or equivalent (does not need to have prior knowledge of parkour)
  • A qualified parkour coach with an interest and experience of traditional gymnastics techniques used in parkour.

Attending initial online workshop and any subsequent project work will be on an individually agreed day rate on application.

Contract: This is a temporary contract.

Location: Home based with some national travel as required.

How to Apply:

  • Send a one page (max) letter or a 2 minute video explaining why you are suitable and your interest in this work.
  • A copy for your CV.

Applications to be sent to info@parkour.uk by Friday 13th February.
