For the last several months Parkour UK has been working alongside the Sport & Recreation Alliance to consult the community for their views on competition within parkour, and what role Parkour UK should be playing in this.
Competition has been a hot topic in the parkour community over the last few years. As competitive parkour continues to grow, Parkour UK is committed to understanding the community’s views and discussing our role in shaping its future. This consultation will provide a valuable opportunity to hear directly from practitioners about their perspectives on competition—its benefits, challenges, and potential pathways forward.
Take a look below to see how you can get involved.
Competition within parkour is forever growing, developing, and changing. Most of these are grass-root, community organised competitions. As the sport grows and develops, there may be some larger competitions, like Redbull Art of Motion.
We've been working with the Sport & Recreation Alliance to garner the community's thoughts, ideas, and feedback on competition.
We want to hear from you. What are your thoughts on competition in parkour, and what role you think Parkour UK as the National Governing Body should play in this?
The Sport and Recreation Alliance is the voice of the grassroots sport and recreation sector. They strongly believe in the transformational power of sport and recreation to positively shape lives and help drive societal and economic growth.
We want to get as much input, insight, and views as possible, and we know that the best way to do this is to open up the questions online so more individuals can contribute.
Below you will find a button to a Microsoft Forms, which includes the questions the Sport & Recreation Alliance have been asking the community in our face to face consultations.
We are working alongside the Sport & Recreation Alliance to organise some online webinar's for women & girls to join to help us with our consultation.
The dates for these webinars are yet to be confirmed, but you can register your interest by clicking the button below. We will then be in touch with you when the dates are finalised.
