Kickstart your parkour coaching journey and help others build confidence, overcome challenge, and take opportunity.
We are pleased to be trialling our new entry level Parkour UK Level 1 Coaching qualification. This qualification will allow coaches to coach independently within a set syllabus, provided they are over 18 years of age. If under this age, they will be qualified to assist our existing Level 2 qualified coaches.
This new and more accessible qualification gives teachers, volunteers, younger coaches and parent helpers (as an example) a more accessible route in to parkour coaching. In addition to a one-day face to face course, the course has 3 online pre-requisites:
Parkour coaching fundamentals
Safeguarding for parkour
First aid for parkour
The New Parkour UK Level 1 Coach qualification is a 1 day face to face course, with 3 pre-requisites which must be completed prior to the in-person day.
These are:
Parkour coaching fundamentals – learn the essentials of coaching and how they apply in a parkour environment
Safeguarding for parkour – this course covers all areas of safeguarding as seen through a parkour lens, allowing learners to find out how safeguarding should be applied in their own environment.
First aid for parkour – Developed in conjunction with Vital Workplace Training* this course is designed to refresh your understanding of first aid techniques, policies and procedures, with a particular focus on accidents and injuries that may occur within a parkour environment.
Please note that this course does not provide a formal first aid qualification. Instead, it is intended to support individuals who are not primarily responsible for first aid within their setting, or who wish to update and reinforce their existing knowledge.
It is essential that you complete a first aid risk assessment to determine the number of fully qualified Level 3 first aiders (who have completed a one-day, in-person course) required within your setting.
All 3 online pre-requisites can be purchased separately if required.
