At the UK qualifiers held at Project Underground, Kevin Franzen earned qualification in both Skill and Style, finishing second in the Style division after a close contest with Ed Scott, who had already prequalified. Agnes Cecilie secured her spot in Skill, while Tay Ashforth and Remon Lammertijn earned their places in Speed. In the women’s Style category, Isa Janssen qualified, and Ed Scott — already prequalified from last year’s SPL finals — took first place in men’s Style.
If you missed the weekend action, don’t worry — Kevin and Ed’s battle for the top spot in men’s Style is set for an epic rematch this summer in Vancouver.
At the European qualifiers held at HAL 5, Marc Chastenet took first place in men’s Skill, followed by Daan Dewinter in second and Joel Vaissi in third. Since Joel was already prequalified from last year’s SPL finals, the final qualifying spot went to Oliver Thorpe, who finished fourth.
The women’s Skill podium was stacked with SPL veterans. Camila Stefaniu claimed first, followed by Noa Diorgina Man. With Camila already qualified from last year’s competition, this means that Noa qualifies for skill.
In men’s Speed, Dutch athletes Coen Ten took first and Joel Vaissi took second — with both athletes taking qualifying spots. Noa Diorgina Man took first in women’s speed, securing her spot in the competition.
Men’s Style was fiercely contested, with Dutch athlete Koen Heijnen taking first place, followed by Eloan Hitz in second and Viktor Bannebjerg in third — all three athletes have secured qualification spots. The women’s Style division was equally competitive, with prequalified SPL veteran Noa Diorgina Man securing first place and Miranda Tibbling in second. As Noa is prequalified from last year, Miranda takes the qualification spot.
This year’s qualifiers have resulted in several athletes landing spots in multiple events:

With SPL veterans returning in full force and new challengers emerging, the battle for a spot on the world stage is far from over.
Let the road to Vancouver begin.
