From grassroots communities to the British Championships, here’s where your membership goes.
Whether you’ve been training for fifteen years or you’ve just stuck your first jump, parkour in the UK is built by its community. As the national governing body, Parkour UK is a not-for-profit, so every pound of membership income goes back into developing and promoting the sport. Memberships start from just £1 a month.
Your membership supports our safeguarding guidance, coaching standards and educational resources. It also pays for the hands-on support we give clubs and venues, so everyone can train in a safe, welcoming environment.
We develop coaches through qualifications, resources and professional development, including our new Level 4 Master Coach & Coach Educator qualification. We help clubs grow with support for funding bids such as Sport England’s Movement Fund, insurance guidance through our partner Howden, and promotion on our channels.
One benefit is easy to miss. Family, Youth, Sport and Coach memberships include an annual cashback to the club you train with, so when you join, your local scene gets something back too.
At the top of our venue pathway are Parkour UK Hubs: Gym Gold venues run to an exceptionally high professional standard. Hubs deliver coach education, host youth competitions, and run grading and competency assessments. They can also bid to host senior competitions and help shape future funding bids to Sport England and the other Home Nation sports councils.
Our coaching pathway starts with our new Level 1 qualification and runs through Level 2 to the Level 4 Master Coach & Coach Educator. Gym Gold venues receive a funded place on that qualification for their head coach, and every member receives 10% off our courses.
This summer we held our first-ever British Parkour Championships in Preston, where athletes competed in Speed, Skill and Style. The event was also a selection event for the Parkour Earth World Championships, giving athletes a pathway to represent the UK internationally.
Held on 1–2 August at Street Monkeys Academy in Preston, the Championships featured Women’s and Open categories across all three formats. The winner of each category earned the chance to represent the UK at the Parkour Earth World Championships in the Czech Republic this autumn, subject to meeting the selection requirements. For many athletes, it was the first time a clear route from their local community to the world stage had existed.
Our Diversity & Inclusion Action Plan focuses on bringing parkour to inactive women and girls, to young people, and to communities in less advantaged areas.
Membership income is reinvested in line with our 10-year strategy, which has three priorities:
We’re already working towards these goal! We've taken a digital first approach to increase accessibility to parkour. Our Find Parkour Near You tool helps new practitioners find classes and communities in their area, and our Media Hub shares stories, guides and advice from across the sport. Members can even write for us and share their own experiences.
We’re also committed to being open about how we work. Minutes from our AGMs are published on our Governance page, and at our 2025 AGM we created a live visual Year in Review with the community. Membership also gives you a voice. Members can join regular forums with Parkour UK and help shape the sport’s future.
Family, Youth, Sport and Coach memberships include personal accident insurance and Sport:80 rewards. Eligible members also get 10% off Parkour UK coaching courses.
Membership comes with some everyday perks too. Sport:80 rewards offer discounts on fitness, nutrition and days out. Clubs and Gold venues get 10% off equipment and matting at Foams4Sports, and Coach members get access to Welsh Sports Association templates, policies and discounted CPD.
Whether it’s £1 a month or a full club membership, you’re helping build a stronger, safer and more connected parkour community.
