On the 15th of September, Bedford-based parkour coaching organisation Spiral Freerun announced that they will be closing their indoor parkour venue in the Harpur Centre, Bedford on the 15th of November.
"Whilst that might seem really scary, it's actually the best thing for us and our individuals" - Luke Brown, CEO Spiral Freerun.
In a video released to their Instagram, Luke Brown, who recently delivered his first Level 1 trial qualification as a newly qualified Parkour UK Level 4 Master Coach and Coach Educator qualification, openly shares that challenges that has come with running their venue at a large unit inside Bedford's shopping centre.
Although it can be seen as quite a scary and uncertain time, Luke mentions that this is the best thing for Spiral Freerun to give them the opportunity to continue delivering parkour sessions to their local community. They are actively working towards relocating and finding a new home for Spiral, so they can continue doing what they do and keep building their community.
They also released a video on their YouTube channel explaining more details.
They're running a few more events and open sessions to celebrate the space towards the end of October. You can visit their Instagram here to find out more.
We're wishing the Spiral Freerun squad the best of luck in securing a new facility, and we can't wait to see what's next for their organisation.
