Requirements on joining

Provide a copy of the Public Liability Insurance (up to £10m).

Provide a copy of generic Health and Safety at work Risk Assessments.

Adopt and implement Parkour UK Coaching Standards, policies and procedures.
- Have one first aid qualified member of staff on site at all time.

Have a Welfare Officer in place - submit their name and email address.

Have a safeguarding concern reporting process in place.

Report any safeguarding concerns to the Parkour UK Safeguarding Team.

All eligible staff and volunteers to be DBS checked (The Welfare Officer, coaches and anyone having regular contact with children and adults at risk should have an up-to-date enhanced DBS check).
- Upload head coach details (name, qualification & date obtained) and upload certificate).

All coaches to be qualified and at least 1 Level 2 coach (list of coaches & their qualifications to be provided).

Staff/volunteers involved should have the relevant UK Coaching safeguarding training.

The Welfare Officer should ensure their details are publicly available and shared with participants, parents, volunteers and coaches.

The Welfare Officer should keep an up-to-date record of the training and DBS checks mentioned above and ensure people renew these every 3 years.

Implement safe recruitment practices for coaches and volunteers.

Posters or information about safeguarding, safety, inclusion, mental health, online safety and raising concerns at the club/organisation to be visible in venues, websites and social media platforms.
Working Towards (to achieve within 12 months)

Regular (at least quarterly) communication with parents, carers, participants and coaches about safeguarding procedures (this could be via newsletters, social media or information letters).

Have an equality policy in place.

Have a welcome process for new participants which also provides them with information on who the welfare officer is and what to do if they have a concern.

Have an induction process for new staff including who the welfare officer is and what to do if they have any concerns.
