Grimsby Parkour Park Opens

The Parkour Park in Grimsby opened on Saturday 2nd March 2013.

The development led by affiliate organisation Team Reality Ltd. & North East Lincolnshire Council with funding from WREN, Humberside Police and Specialist Health Promotion Service has resulted in a £57,000 custom built and installed facility by Freemove.

This facility has been in the pipeline since March 2011 and Parkour UK would like to make a special mention for Adam Johnston, Health Promotion Coordinator Sport & Physical Activity at North East Lincolnshire Council & Neil Hutson of Team Reality Ltd.

This follows the publication of the new British Standard for Parkour Equipment, BS10075:2013 on the 28th February 2013. Which will have a direct and beneficial impact enabling local authorities, schools, colleges, universities, sports centres, land owners, manufacturers and installers to build Parkour facilities and equipment that are fit-for-purpose, safe and to the recognised standard
