This is a one day CPD course for qualified teachers (QTS) in the UK. It is not a coaching qualification.

What does this qualification cover?

The objective of the Parkour UK 1st4sport Introductory CPD Award in Teaching Parkour/Freerunning (QTS)  is designed to introduce teachers to the fundamental concepts and training principles of Parkour/Freerunning for use as part of a physical education / school sport in an education setting. It serves as an introduction, and enables teachers to initiate basic Parkour/Freerunning training within the school environment. This CPD award is limited enabling delivery in private spaces only such as the school gym or playground.

Structure
The CPD is built around the principles of ‘Build into Play’ and the course has been developed in partnership with Access Parkour.

The course is a mix of practical parkour, teaching and ‘classroom’ style learning delivered over an 8 hour day.

  • Unit 1 – Parkour & Practice
  • Unit 2 – Risk and Play
  • Unit 3 – Delivering Parkour
  • Unit 4  – Practicing Delivery
